The goal of this post is to capture a memory from the past week, either with a camera, words, or both.  Time passes in the blink of an eye and this will create a collection of treasured memories from throughout the year.

My Snapshot(s)

Soooooo excited, because this finally happened:

Two things important to note:  1) Yes, that is G, in a pair of my old skates. I am so glad he has no problem skating around in white skates, because there is NO WAY I would let him get out there in flimsy rental skates!  & B)  Yes, Gv is using a sled.  I know several of my former skating students are probably aghast seeing this (I have an extremely strong stance against these things), but since I was the only one who could both take the picture and help Gv stand, this was how I resolved my dilemma. (G was willing to do either one, but since he was busy trying to remain upright himself, there was no way I was throwing any extra pressure on him!)

A local rink held an open house this weekend to celebrate the grand opening of its second ice surface - and let anyone come and skate for free!

This was perfect, because I'd gotten Gv her own skates back in the spring, but the new rink that I'll soon be coaching at keeps experiencing typical construction delays, so I wanted the three of us to get out there together for her first time before she outgrew those boots and blades.

It was just so much fun getting to share this part of my life with her for the first time!

What was your favorite memory from this past week?  I'd love to hear!  Either leave a comment below or email me at lisahealy (at) outlook (dot) com.
